billy-strings-the-thunder-moth-woven-blanket
Billy Strings | The Thunder Moth | Woven Blanket

Wrap yourself in the vibrant energy of a cosmic jam session with this stunning woven throw blanket. Perfect for draping over a couch, adding a layer to your bed, or even hanging as a large-scale tapestry, this 60x50 inch blanket brings a warm, psychedelic touch to any space. It's crafted from 100% woven cotton, creating a high-quality, comfortable piece of functional art with a colorful fringed edge.

The design, 'The Thunder Moth,' features a powerful central emblem that’s part acoustic guitar, part cosmic moth. The guitar's body forms the moth's torso, its neck rising to curled antennae. Its wings explode outwards in hypnotic, concentric rings of vermilion, gold, and cobalt blue, edged with zigzagging lightning bolts. This psychedelic icon is set against a backdrop of bursting storm-stripes and scattered planets, all rendered in bold, flat colors that give it a confident, pop-art feel. The entire scene is framed by a chunky, folk-craft border, and the name BILLY STRINGS is displayed prominently in a heavy, deco-style font.

Please note: This is unofficial, fan-made artwork and is not affiliated with the artist.

Materials: 100% cotton, woven yarn (not printed), colourful fringed edges
Size: 60 x 50 in
Care: Machine wash cold on gentle; tumble dry low. Fringe length may vary.

Note from the Artist:
I wanted to capture the feeling of Billy's music—how it's deeply rooted in traditional acoustic sounds but launches into these ecstatic, mind-bending cosmic territories. The idea of a guitar transforming into a 'Thunder Moth' felt right; it’s this powerful, natural creature powered by music, radiating energy like lightning. I used a very bold, graphic style with hypnotic rings and bursting colors to convey that psychedelic energy, but kept it grounded with a homespun, woven texture that feels as warm and inviting as a classic folk tune.
