Note from the Artist: With 'The Mother Church Mandala,' I wanted to visualize the spiritual experience of a Billy Strings show within the hallowed walls of the Ryman. The venue itself is a sacred space, the 'Mother Church of Country Music.' I imagined that sacredness being supercharged by Billy's experimental, high-energy music. The 'Preacher Owl' is a recurring guardian in my work for the band, and placing it on the Ryman stage felt like seating a new kind of deity in the temple. The stained glass breaking into a cosmic scene and the pews growing into roots and mushrooms represent the music literally transforming the space—making it wild, alive, and transcendent. It's a tribute to how the band honors tradition while blasting it into a new dimension.
