Immerse yourself in the electrifying energy of Billy Strings' December 13, 2025 show at the iconic Moody Center in Austin, TX with this stunning limited edition art print. Titled "Night Run (Bat Constellation Bowl)," this design transforms the venue into a cosmic instrument, a vibrant homage to the bluegrass maestro's transcendent live performances.

Witness the Moody Center's spiraling amphitheater morph into a celestial canvas, where luminous guitar strings blast upwards, weaving and diffracting into a dazzling starfield. At the heart of this cosmic eruption, a rosette-shaped mandala blooms, a visual echo of the guitar's soundhole made grand and galactic. Fret dots scatter, mapping a loose star chart that reveals a breathtaking Mexican free-tailed bat constellation, implied through clusters of brilliant light – a subtle nod to Austin's vibrant nocturnal life and the city's live music pulse. Moths delicately ride these light streams, adding a layer of intricate detail for those who look closely.

This print captures the "full-send" kinetic energy of a second set ignition, a moment of pure lift-off and release where musical feedback turns into an aurora. Rendered with maximal, hand-etched textures and a dynamic layout, it features a rich palette of midnight indigo and deep teal, punctuated by electric magenta, icy aqua, and controlled hits of burnt orange, creating a deeply immersive and psychedelic experience. It draws from the rich Texas psych poster lineage while infusing Billy Strings' unique nature-forward cosmology.

Note From the Artist

The "Night Run (Bat Constellation Bowl)" print for Billy Strings at the Moody Center is an homage to the electrifying, transcendent energy of live music. My vision was to capture that moment when a concert becomes an experience of pure, unbridled sonic and visual release, transforming the entire venue into a colossal, celestial instrument.

From a slightly elevated perspective, the iconic spiraling bowl of the Moody Center becomes the foundation for an astral ascent. Here, the stage is a nexus of power, from which six luminous guitar strings blast upwards, not merely as light, but as vibrant ribbons of pure energy. They weave, braid, and diffract, blossoming into a starfield that pulses with hypnotic motion. At the heart of this cosmic eruption, where these energetic ribbons converge, a rosette-shaped mandala blooms—a cosmic interpretation of the guitar’s soundhole, vibrating with the very essence of Billy’s instrument-forward mastery.

As these celestial “strings” extend, they scatter fret dots that meticulously map out a loose star chart. Within this emergent stellar cartography, a true marvel appears: the Mexican free-tailed bat, not literally drawn, but implied, a constellation formed by the clustered lumens and radiant trails—a spectral nod to Austin’s nocturnal pulse, caught mid-flight in a dreamlike ascension. The dark, rich indigo and deep teal base provides the profound depth of a midnight sky, while electric magenta and icy aqua threads of light weave through, creating a sensation like feedback turning into an aurora. Punctuations of burnt orange, subtly echoing the venue’s natural material palette, allow the bat constellation to visually “click” into focus as you step back, a momentary revelation within the ecstatic jam. Even the subtle moths riding these light streams are part of this psychedelic journey, a delicate detail for those who linger.

This print is a “full-send” of kinetic energy, meticulously hand-etched to imbue every texture with a maximalist, psychedelic depth, drawing from the rich lineage of Texas psych posters while infusing Billy’s unique nature-forward cosmology. It’s a moment of lift-off and release, the ignition of a second set, a visual symphony designed to resonate long after the final note fades.
