For this design, I was deeply inspired by Portsmouth's rich maritime history and the almost-supernatural energy of a Billy Strings show. I imagined the music as a storm, powerful enough to break down old structures and bring forth something new and beautiful from the wreckage. The derelict ships represent that beautiful decay, while the moths symbolize transformation and rebirth, emerging from the 'death' of the old vessel. The whole piece is meant to feel like a relic, a cursed diagram you can't look away from, channeling that feeling when a jam hits a deep, psychedelic, and slightly dangerous groove. It's my interpretation of 'funeral tobacco and bone ash psychedelia'—a haunting tribute to the transformative power of live music.
