Immerse yourself in the mystic harmony of this unique fan-made print, "North Star Over the Falls," a striking tribute inspired by Billy Strings' performance at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, on November 11, 2025. This limited edition print masterfully blends the rich history of Rochester with the cosmic, truth-seeking themes synonymous with Billy Strings' artistry.

Rendered in a captivating engraved, etching-style, this artwork evokes the charm of a rediscovered 19th-century broadside. At its heart, a radiant North Star unfurls within a guitar rosette, doubling as a compass rose and a printing-press platen, reflecting Rochester's legacy in civic discourse. Delicate lilacs, a nod to the "Flower City" emblem, encircle this celestial guide, their petals seemingly caught mid-drift above the iconic High Falls.

Journey through the scene with a lone skeleton traveler, lantern aglow, standing steadfast on the Pont de Rennes, his light a beacon pointing towards the guiding North Star. Above, a banjo constellation and scattered paper stars reinforce the band’s folk-talisman energy. Subtle details like the silhouette of the Frederick Douglass monument pedestal and hints of Rochester's old subway arches pay homage to the city's profound abolitionist and printmaking heritage. The nocturne indigo, bone white, copper, and lilac palette creates a reflective yet courageous atmosphere, making this a truly unique piece for any fan or art collector.

This unique fan-made artwork is an independent creation and is not officially licensed or endorsed by Billy Strings or his management. Please note that while this is a limited edition print, individual prints are not signed or numbered.

Note From the Artist:

This print, "North Star Over the Falls," is a nocturne, a timeless narrative woven from Rochester's profound history and Billy Strings' signature cosmic mystique. My inspiration was to forge a visual talisman that guides the viewer through layers of meaning, much like a celestial map leads a traveler.

At its heart, the central rosette is a multifaceted emblem—a guitar’s soul, a navigator’s compass, and the very platen of a vintage printing press. This fusion speaks to the transformative power of music, the quest for direction, and Rochester’s pivotal role in printmaking and civic discourse. Encircling this radiant core, a wreath of lilacs blooms, a delicate nod to the city’s cherished "Flower City" heritage, with petals caught mid-drift, hinting at movement and the flow of time.

Beneath this celestial canopy, the iconic High Falls cascade with an almost mystical luminescence, bridged by the steadfast Pont de Rennes. Here, a lone skeleton traveler, lantern aglow, embarks on a journey, his light a beacon pointing directly towards the guiding North Star and the truth it represents. This figure, a recurring motif in Billy Strings' lore, embodies courage and the relentless pursuit of enlightenment, framed by a banjo constellation and scattered paper stars that reinforce the band’s folk-talisman energy.

The narrative extends to Rochester’s deep roots in abolitionist movements and enduring legacy. We glimpse the stoic silhouette of the Frederick Douglass monument pedestal, a quiet sentinel observing the celestial dance, while subtle hints of the arched brickwork of the old Rochester subway fade into the cosmic expanse, honoring the city's hidden histories. The entire composition is rendered with an engraved, etching-style linework and a light distress, creating the feeling of a rediscovered broadside from a bygone era—a potent blend of vintage ephemera and contemporary psych-folk art. The palette of nocturne indigo, bone white, copper, and lilac washes the scene in a reflective yet courageous glow, making this print a truly unique and collectible tribute to both band and city.
