My inspiration for "Luminous Crown Canopy" was to capture that exhilarating moment when day dissolves into night and the air buzzes with anticipation before a live performance. I envisioned the iconic PNC Music Pavilion roof not merely as architecture, but as a majestic, living entity—a pair of feathered wings unfurling against the deepening twilight, subtly forming a regal crown that nods to Charlotte's 'Queen City' essence. The expansive sky, rendered in a split-fountain gradient of deep indigo to soft violet, is a canvas of starlight and delicate constellations, inviting a sense of cosmic wonder.
