Note from the Artist:
When I started designing this piece for the Johnny Blue Skies show in New Orleans, I was picturing an old medicine show rolling into town. The music has that timeless, storytelling quality, like a secret remedy passed down through generations. I imagined this 'Lakefront Elixir' and a charismatic, top-hatted snake—not as something scary, but as a charming old-school salesman—inviting you in. I wanted to pack it with the soul of New Orleans without being too obvious, so I tucked in little symbols like the streetcar and the pelican. It’s my tribute to the magic of the music and the city.
