When I set out to create this piece for the Rüfüs Du Sol show at Audi Field, I wanted to capture the feeling of their music—that sense of being lost in a hypnotic, hours-long journey. Their sound feels both cosmic and deeply human, so I imagined a celestial figure, a sun-god, that was feeling the intensity of its own energy. It's not triumphant and radiant, but rather exhausted, melting, and dripping under the weight of a long summer day turning into an epic night. The concentric rings in its eyes and the scattered eyes in the background are all about that shared, hypnotic rhythm between the band and the crowd, a thousand heartbeats syncing up. This print is my tribute to that immersive, powerful experience.
