When I set out to design this piece, I wanted to capture the feeling of hearing a Rüfüs Du Sol track drop in the middle of the Las Vegas desert heat. For me, the cicada is the perfect symbol for that experience—its powerful, resonant sound and its life cycle of emergence felt like a metaphor for the band's music. I envisioned this cicada not as a simple insect, but as a mechanical, almost futuristic totem, its body constructed from geometric circuits and its wings shattering like old code. The radiating sunburst is the explosion of sound and light at the show's peak. The color palette—the earthy ochre and brick red of the desert against that vibrant, synthetic pink—is meant to mirror the blend of the organic and the electronic that makes their music so compelling. This poster is my tribute to that unique energy.
