Note from the Artist: When I set out to create this piece for The Red Clay Strays' Halloween show, I wanted to capture the convergence of their sound, the city of Birmingham, and the spooky spirit of the night. I was inspired by the idea of a séance, with the central figure acting as a conduit for the music. The arch is a nod to Birmingham's historic Terminal Station, a ghost of the city's past. You'll see elements of the city's iron heritage in the Vulcan-style torch and the earthy, clay-like colors. The ghost train rolling out of the darkness and the skeletal details are my tribute to the Halloween theme, aiming for a vibe that's more mystical and mysterious than scary. It’s all about creating a visual story that feels as layered and soulful as the band's music itself.
