When I imagined Widespread Panic playing at a venue called 'Channel 24' in Sacramento, I was struck by the idea of a specific frequency calling something ancient out of the river. I envisioned this massive, primordial serpent, not as a monster, but as an old god of the delta, its skin like terracotta covered in the history of the land.
